Say what you mean!!!

Say what you really mean…Just my opinion.

This is purely just my opinion and has nothing to do with the Club or even Rick's point of view. As a club owner I find myself in situations from time to time that I really just want to scream..."Are you fucking kidding me...just say what you really mean!!"
Let me bring a little light to the subject. As a I was brought up to not see color in people but to see the person. Imagine that, if we all could do this what a different world it would be. As a of the 60's I went through inner city being bused into our rural neighbor hoods. I really didn't understand why just thought it was cool we got a lot of new in the school. I even remember winning best girl dancer in 6th grade and one of the boys that was bused won the best boy dancer. Cool I thought he was a great dancer. But other seemed to be bothered by this. I thought they were just disappointed they didn't win and maybe they were jealous or something. I was a and thought like a at the time.
Growing up in a planned community with every 4 house looked and was the same and every family had 2 parents and most had 2 ...pretty much carbon copies down the line. I felt like an outsider then being from a family of divorced parents with an absentee father making it even worse. But still my mom brought me up to see and treat everyone equally. I commend her for that.
This is how I have become the person I am today. Everyone is a person and deserves to be treated equally and with nothing less then respect until they personally show me other wise. This is the way I live and would not have it any other way.
Jump forward to the recent past. We owning a lifestyle club seemed as natural as breathing to us. Why not we loved the people, always had a great time, had a great group of friends all ages , races, sizes and levels within the lifestyle. It was perfect. Now 7 years in and getting a little older but still young at heart I tend to look back and reflect. Still would never change us owning a club. But it is sad that because of the club we have been forced to see the ugly side of swinging.
Yes there is an ugly side. Maybe most people don't see it. Maybe because of ignorance, maybe because of choice or maybe just from the euphoria of their own person experiences they can't see their own interactions with others. I have seen so much discrimination it hurts. How can a group that is so open on one level be so closed on another.
It amazes me when their are clubs and hotel party groups that hand select their members to match a certain mold, whether it be color, age, size, shape or what ever sections they choice to discriminate on. Come on, discrimination, that is really what it is. Let's call this what it really is. Why is this ok with so many people in the lifestyle?
Look I understand people like what they like and want to play with who they want to play with but still why is this ok? When did we become so close minded as a group that it became ok to be this way to each other. It kills me when I have to bite my tongue as business owner and listen to someone tell me "how dark a crowd is" or “what a heavy night it is".
REALLY, are you fucking kidding me!!
Some of the BEST lifestyle experiences I have personally had have been with someone I may have never considered if I limited my interactions to a specific group. I am thankful for those experiences because they were great and remind me to never limit my options by being closed minded.
Look this topic is called Rants and Raves so I truly hope no one has been offended by my own personal opinion. It's just sad to see people so shallow in their views to not see people for what they are , people.
The lifestyle is about choices and why would you limit yours?
